Dear Electron members,<br><br>Hope this finds you very well. This emailis firstly to notify that there will be an Electron Social Night this coming Wednesday from 7pm at the Electron; an informal get-together to catch up with food and drink (please do bring some if you can)<br>
<br>There has
been discussion on the list about raising money for decent and fast
broadband internet use and obtaining a phone line so that the Electron
Club will become a much more useful place for all its members. We have
done some investigative work to see how much internet/ phone costs for
two years. The cheapest (and ethical deal with Phone Coop) is
approximately £712. There are some people on the list who have already
offered to donate some money but there is still a considerable amonut
of money to be made. <br>
<br>Upcoming get-togethers are planned to generally meet each other and
catch up but also to share ideas for collective fundraising. They are
as follows: <br><div class="im"><br>
> Wednesday 6th May: 7pm: Social Night at the Electron<br>
> Monday 11th May: 7pm: Electron Club Meeting<br>
> Saturday 23rd May: afternoon: Electron Open Day and fundraiser<br><br></div>All
ideas for the big Electron open day (music, films workshops, food) most
defintiely welcome. A money thermometre (blue peter style) is also
being made by an Electron member to show how much is being raised week
by week. <br>
