<span style="font-family:arial, 'lucida console', sans-serif;font-size:11px;color:#000000;line-height:18px">Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art is please to announce the new, open submission initiative for 2010 called ‘Open Glasgow’<br>
'Open Glasgow' is funded by the Scottish Arts Council, and aims to discover ambitious and imaginative artists’ projects, conceived specifically for the city during Festival time.<br>
A fund of £17,000 is available to the successful project(s), to include fees and technical support<br>
Proposals are sought from individual artists for a project to take place in Glasgow during the Festival in 2010. The project can take any form, from a formal exhibition to an ephemeral event or production.<br>
<strong>Eligibility<br>
</strong>Artists should be currently based in or have been educated in Scotland and should have at least 3 years professional experience.<br>
Students in full time education are not eligible to apply.<br>

The successful ‘Open Glasgow’ recipient(s) should be able to complete the proposed project for April 2010<br>

<strong>Further Information on Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art</strong><br>
GLASGOW INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF VISUAL ART (GI)is a two-week event taking place across the city of Glasgow every other year. It is comprised of exhibitions, public projects, events, talks, performances and screenings in a diverse range of locations from the city’s major museums to artist-run spaces and temporary sites and locations. Combining something of the characteristics of a conventional biennial with a more diverse and event-based programme across the spectrum, the 2010 Festival includes a number of projects conceived by Festival Director, Katrina Brown, as well as a vast array of work by the city's year-round programming organisations and venues.<br>
