Uploading a single file that large is usually a bad idea as many of the online file hosting services do not support resuming downloads or uploads. If the download/upload fails you have to begin all over again.

The method warez/release groups have been using for years is usually best. Use winrar or similar to archive the file into a series of 15mb-100mb chunks i.e. dvd.part1, dvd.part2 etc. Upload these to your preferred site. This also gives you the added benefit of error correction or at least detection.

> Date: Wed, 17 Feb 2010 16:23:50 +0000
> From: luketoot@googlemail.com
> To: members@electronclub.org
> Subject: Re: [ELECTRON] sending 925mb video electronically
>
> hi paula
>
> www.dropbox.com allows you 2gb of storage space and you can share the
> link to it.
>
> with create the ISO martin suggests or just make a zip file of the
> video and audio TS files.
> takes a while to upload/dowload but a handy free wee service
>
> luke
>
> On Wed, Feb 17, 2010 at 3:54 PM, Martin McGrath
> <mcgrath.martin@gmail.com> wrote:
> > Paula,
> >
> > are you asking how to upload an ISO image of a DVD somewhere or make it
> > available online for people to download, or stream video from your
> > computer/server?
> >
> > If your goal is to make it available for anyone to download you could use
> > archive.org, other free and commercial file sharing options exist, depending
> > exactly on your needs, searching google shows many results.
