Welcome new member Andy Welsby who writes:

Hey, I'm a 'mature' student (41) studying for an MRes in Creative
Practices at GSA. I also lecture at City of Glasgow College on the
'Computer Art and Design' course there.
I've recently become interested in computer art's potentially important
role in radicalising the notion of authorship in art. This is, at least
in part, the focus of my studies.
I'm interested in creating practicle examples of my research and have endevoured to teach myself Processing.
Whilst reading about, and reseaching hackerspaces (is it OK to call you
that?), I came across the Electron Club. I read that you are involved
with Pure Data and wondered if this would be of use to my studies.
My practice is usually based upon collaboration - I enjoy the sharing
process - and wondered if there would be something I could give to the
club to create a mutual relationship between us - myself and other
members.
My area of expertise is filming and video editing. I've been creating
live video performances VJing) since 1998, and I freelance as a
filmmaker and editor.

It'd be great to hear back. Till then,
Best regards,
