<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>Bit of background: I'm working on upgrading/refurbishing a piece of musical equipment from the late 80s at the moment (Akai S1000 sampler if anyone is interested) and am trying to upgrade the EEPROMs to the latest operating system.</p>

<p>Basically the OS is stored on 2x AM27C512 chips (DIP28 form factor). Does anyone have a compatible programmer that they could bring in to help out with this?</p>

<p>I could bring the full unit along to the next alt.electron if we have anybody on the list who's interested in hacking (or just playing with) old musical gear. </p>
